New books available in the library

There are a number of new books available in the library on topics including research, leadership and health improvement.

New titles available include: Effective leadership: How to be a successful leader, Measuring and valuing health benefits for economic evaluation, A beginner’s guide to evidence based practice, Bringing user experience to healthcare improvement and Leadership roles and management functions in nursing.

Books are available in the 1829 Building Library. Library users with access to the Trust’s extranet can search the library catalogue here.

New Resources

We have access to two new resources which we have on trial until 1st March 2009.   Rehabilitation Reference Center is a clinical reference tool designed for use by rehabilitation clinicians, physical therapists and occupational therapists at the point of care.  It provides valid and relevant infomation intuitively and conveniently, using the best available evidence to help support clinical decisions.  Nursing Reference Center is a user-friendly point-of-care resource intended for staff nurses, nurse administrators and nursing students.  It delivers the best available and most recent clinical evidence and knowledge on conditions and diseases via a nursing-specific interface.
