The Institute for Innovation and Improvement’s January newsletter has just been released. It contains news on a number of services available to help NHS staff with the quality and productivity challenges which they are faced with. This includes webex training on Better Care, Better Values and the Primary Care Trigger Tool.

The library’s Christmas newsletter contains updates on Map of Medicine, the new Quality and Productivity Specialist Collection, Annual Evidence Updates and requesting help with a literature search from the library.

Updated Bulletins of Interest to Staff

Several new bulletins have recently been published which may be of interest to library users.

This month’s edition of The Commissioner is now available to be viewed by staff.  The Commissioner is a monthly bulletin produced by NHS Librarians to keep you up to date with developments in commissioning.

Map of Medicine, the evidence-based clinical pathway tool designed to assist healthcare professionals in their decision making, has published its Newsletter which is aimed at keeping NHS staff updated with developments in Map of Medicine.

Current Bytes is published fortnightly by Health Librarians, and is aimed at keeping readers up to date with the electronic knowledge base, usually with a particular focus on mental health.

Also recently published, NHS Western Cheshire and Community Care Western Cheshire staff now have access to the most recent issue of  Freedom of Information Journal, which can be viewed on the extranet. This issue contains stories on the Freedom of Information Act, the Information Tribunal and Freedom of Information News.
