NHS Evidence’s Specialist Collections are web-based collections which have been specially developed to meet the needs of particular communities of practice. Each Specialist Collection provides access to quality information of relevance to the community which it serves. The Annual Evidence Updates aim to highlight the best current evidence for selected healthcare topics.

Annual Evidence Update on Colorectal Cancer – This Evidence Update will include a guest editorial from Alan Horgan (Nuffield Health, Newcastle Upon Tyne), plus the latest systematic review, guidance and patient information.
Annual Evidence Update on Pain - This Evidence Update will cover pain management in cancer and non-cancer chronic disease patients.
Annual Evidence Update on Schizophrenia – The Annual Evidence Update on Schizophrenia contains information on areas including health economics, prognosis, risk factors, diagnosis, prevalence, epidemiology and treatments.

Annual Evidence Update on Acupuncture – The Evidence Update on Acupuncture will include an expert summary of the best available evidence on the topic.
Annual Evidence Update on Obesity – The Annual Evidence Update on Childhood Obesity will include a number of key policy documents, plus guest editorials written by experts. The Update will provide an overview of the preventative interventions for childhood obesity and international surveillance activities.
