As a result of the changes in swine flu anti-viral distribution, we are pleased to tell you that normal library services are now resumed. We are very grateful for your patience over the last couple of weeks. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for books or articles, help with research, or if you would like information or training on the electronic resources that are available to you.

We look forward to seeing you!

NHS Evidence

June 5, 2009

NHS Evidence is an important new service which has been created as a result of Lord Darzi’s report High Quality Care for All, which called for quality to be at the heart of the NHS. NHS Evidence provides easy access to a comprehensive evidence base for everyone involved in health and social care. Simple searching can be undertaken without the need for a password and the uncluttered search screen will be familiar in many ways to users of search engines such as Google. Primary research and electronic journals and books can still be accessed using an NHS Athens username and password.

How can I find out more?

The library is running a week of information sessions to give you the opportunity to see how NHS Evidence works. These sessions will run from 15th to 19th June between 12pm-2pm. There is no need to book, just pop in and take this opportunity to familiarise yourself with this important new resource. For more information contact the library team.
